Position Details
What You Will Do
The Senior Claims Adjuster, Bodily Injury is responsible for the oversight and handling of personal and commercial automobile, long haul trucking, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle bodily injury claims. The claims are of varying complexity and the successful candidate will have a dynamic personality and the ability to excel in a high performance environment. The Senior Adjuster - Bodily Injury ensures claims are properly investigated, evaluated, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate personal/commercial lines claims of high complexity
- Manage challenging coverage claims with tact and professionalism
- Timely, accurate reserving in line with Corporate protocols and guidelines
- Maintain control over expenses through pro-active handling techniques
- Direct vendor partners as necessary
- Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials and settlement conferences
Who You Are
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- CIP or working towards designation
- 7 plus years experience handling casualty claims required
- Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset
- Ability to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictions
- Knowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wording, fraud investigations and coverage issues
